Thailand Breast Augmentation - The Plastic Surgery Procedure

The plastic surgery operation is usually done when the breast reaches its final size after puberty (ages 17-18). Except for cases when there is congenital breast hypoplasia or breast asymmetry in which it can be done earlier (local regulations in Thailand may be applicable).

Thailand breast augmentation - the implants
There are three possible areas for the insertion of an implant for augmentation. The lower fold of the breast is the most common site. It allows full excess and lives a hidden scar. The second site is through the areola. This incision gives the best esthetic results but it is also the only one that goes through the breast tissue therefore the risk of infection and sensation loss is higher. The third one is through the armpits. Some plasit surgeons prefer it because the scar is almost invisible (except for those women who like to wear open close with no sleeves(. The disadvantage of this incision is a slight asymmetry of the breast. The decision usually made individually with each woman and the plastic surgeon (consult local Thailand surgeons).

The augmentation implant can be inserted above or below the chest muscles. The below position considered to be more preferable by most Thailand surgeons. There is less chance of feeling the implant, less chance of developing irregular folds or bumps on the surface of the breast and the implant is less likely to drop. This kind of plastic surgery technique is suitable for women with relatively little extra skin and less fallen breasts.

Most of the implants are made of silicon, and since the FDA determined that they safe for use they are being widely used by most plastic surgeons in Thailand.

Thailand breast augmentation - shape and size
The augmentation implants come in two shapes: round and pear shape also called "anatomic implants" because their shape resembles the natural contour of the breast. They are more expensive and require larger excision during the breast augmentation plastic surgery procedure.

The size of an implant usually depends on the woman size and proportions, the average size is 300cc. It is believed that smaller implants have lower complications.

Thailand breast augmentation - after the plastic surgery
After the augmentation plastic surgery you'll be wearing a sports bra or a bandage. You'll continue wearing them at all times day and night for about a month. You'll be able to take a shower 24 hours after the plastic surgery. The most optimal results usually seen 3 month after the surgery. Several things can complicate this plastic surgery procedure; those are rare complications, which you should be aware off. Bleeding around the area of the implant, infection, disturbances of sensation and touch around the nipples, silicon leak, rejection off an implant and some degree of irregularity on the surface of an implant.

  • Thailand Calendar

In addition to the Gregorian calendar, Thailand also uses the Thai solar calendar, which is 543 years ahead. Thus, Thai year 2550 corresponds to the Western year 2007. Thai dates in English are often written as B.E., short for "Buddhist Era".

Some Thai holidays are still calculated with the older Thai lunar calendar, so their dates change every year.

  • Thailand History

A unified Thai kingdom was established in the mid-14th century. Known as Siam until 1939, Thailand is the only South-East Asian country never to have been taken over by a European power, and fiercely proud of the fact. A bloodless revolution in 1932 led to a constitutional monarchy. In alliance with Japan during World War II, Thailand became a US ally following the conflict. After a string of military dictatorships and quickly toppled civilian presidents, Thailand finally stabilized into a fair approximation of a democracy and the economy, hobbled by the 1997 Asian economic crisis, is booming once again. Above it all presides the King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX), the world's longest-reigning monarch and a deeply loved and respected figure of near-mythic proportions.

In September 2006, a swift and bloodless military coup endorsed by the King overthrew the previous democratically elected but widely criticized government, promising elections in late 2007. Although martial law still applies and political gatherings are restricted, there has been no violence, no curfews are in effect, there is no longer any significant military presence in public places, and all services are functioning normally.

  • Pennsylvania: A tax-subsidized program that helps Pennsylvania physicians pay medical malpractice insurance premiums lapsed on Monday, the AP/Philadelphia Inquirer reports. The five-year, $1 billion MCare abatement program was established in 2003 and provides subsidies to more than 35,000 physicians and other medical professionals.

  • A costing report and costing template have been produced by NICE to provide an implementation tool to estimate the financial impact to the NHS of implementing the patient safety guidance PSG001, technical patient safety solutions for medicines reconciliation on admission of adults to hospital. For England, the tool estimates a total cost of implementation of £12.9 million (£7.7m on additional pharmacists and £5.2m on additional pharmacy technicians). This is approximately equivalent to a cost of £26,000 per 100,000 population (or about 0.4 extra pharmacists and 0.4 extra pharmacy technicians per 100,000 population). The annual cost of a pharmacist has been estimated as being £38,923 based on the midpoint of Agenda for Change grade 7. The annual cost of a pharmacy technician has been estimated as being £26,232 based on the midpoint of Agenda for Change grade 5. In the sensitivity analysis, it is noted that the grade 7 Agenda for Change pay scale varies from £33,601 to £44,642 (including on-costs). The template uses the mid-point of the salary scale, however, varying the annual salary from bottom to top of the scale resulted in total implementation costs ranging from £12.1 to £14.3 million.
