Jordan Brow Lift - The Procedure
With age the brows drop below the eye line and wrinkles appear on the forehead, those make us look angry, sad and tired all times. Brow lift is most popular among ages 40-60 and you can combine it with a facelift or eyelid surgery.

Using the classic technique, the surgeon cuts ear to ear through the scalp behind the hairline. This allows him to get access to the forehead, release the muscles, removes extra skin and lift the eyebrows to higher position. This method is modified for people with high forehead and retreat in the hairline. Then the cut is made in front of the hairline so that brow lift doesn't cause additional retreat.

In the endoscopic approach 3-5 small incisions made on the scalp from ear to ear behind the hairline. Then using special tool extra skin and tissue being removed from the forehead and sometimes attached to the scalp from the inside. With time the wrinkles disappear. Sometimes the surgeon inserts special hook through the endoscop which attaches the tissue to the desired location. The hooks melt with time and the forehead reshapes. In another technique smaller cut is made through the temple areas, the extra skin is removed as described. This approach used when the outer portion of the brows needs to be lift. The operation can be done using local anesthetics with deep sedation.

Jordan Brow Lift - Risks
Every operation has its complications. This one includes damage to the forehead nerves that will result in inability to move the forehead or brows. Lost sensation, usually temporarily, around the scar. Hair loss in the scar margins and wider scar. Infection and bleeding. Endoscopic complications can force the surgeon to do the open surgery, which has longer recovery period.

Jordan Brow Lift - After Surgery
After the surgery with classic approach there might be uncomfortable felling of ant crawling and pain around the scar. Those usually disappear with time and the pain can be managed with painkillers. It may be difficult to open the eyes due to eyelid swallowing. The endoscopic approach has less pain and alter sensation.

Jordan Brow Lift - Healing
You can return to work 10-14 days after the surgery but the final results can be seen only after a few weeks. You must avoid vigorous activities that can elevate your blood pressure for a few weeks. Also avoid prolonged heat or sun exposure. Most marks of the surgery resolve after 3 weeks, minimal swallowing and small hemorrhages can be covered with make up.

  • Jordan From Iraq ref="/en/Iraq">Iraq

It is theoretically possible to enter Jordan from Iraq depending on your nationality. Flights from and into Iraq involve a high speed high altitude cork-screwing dive down to the capital Baghdad, to reduce the likelihood of missile or rocket damage. Given the ever present threat from insurgents and the ongoing military operations in Iraq it is strongly recommended that you not attempt this journey from Baghdad or anywhere else in the country.

  • Jordan Get in Map of Jordan

Visitors to Jordan from non-Arab countries will need a visa, easily obtainable on arrival at most border points. One key exception is the crossing from the West Bank at the King Hussein ("Allenby") Bridge. Visas are available at all other land crossings into Jordan, including the two crossings from Israel at Eilat/Aqaba and the Sheik Hussein Bridge near Irbid. Previously notoriously complex (and expensive), visa prices have finally been standardized for non-Arabs at JD 10 for single entry, JD 20 for multiple entry, though you can recieve a free, one month, ASEZA visa if you arrive in Aqaba with no visa. If you recieve an ASEZA visa, you will still theoretically have to pay the visa fee if you leave the Aqaba economic zone, paid either with your departure tax, or on reentry to the Aqaba zone.

  • In a poll conducted by Ipsos Mori for Citizens Advice, of 1075 adults in England and Scotland, around 6% of people in England did not collect and pay for part of a prescription last year because of the prescription charge (currently £6.85); the figure in Scotland was 15%. Citizens Advice is urging the government to review the issue of prescription charging as a matter of urgency, and in view of the fact that Wales has already introduced free prescriptions while Scotland has promised to follow suit. A Department of Health spokeswoman said "the extensive exemption arrangements we have in place mean that, in England, 88% of prescription items are dispensed free of charge…and anyone may obtain all the prescriptions they need if they buy a prescription prepayment certificate which works out at less than £2 per week. Prescription charges provide a valuable contribution to the NHS in England, estimated to be £430 million for 2006-7. Abolishing them would significantly reduce the money available to deliver other health priorities." The government is planning to launch a consultation on this issue in the autumn.
