Chemical Peel Procedure

It's a procedure in which a controlled chemical burn is applied to the skin using chemical solution in order to remove outer layers of the skin. It can remove delicate wrinkles, pigmentation marks and other skin defects. Peeling also has some medical advantages like removal of pre cancerous conditions and acne scars.

The solutions being used are phenol, trichloroacetic acid (TCA) and alphahydroxil acids (AHA).

AHA is used for delicate peeling, it gives you smooth and shine skin, and it also treats delicate wrinkles, acne scars and pigmentation. Several treatments usually required on weekly bases. The solution can also be incorporated into cr?mes or facial wash and can be used on daily bases.

TCA is used for intermediate peeling. It removes wrinkles and superficial skin defects and pigmentation. Usually more then one treatment required and it has longer healing times then AHA. It can be used in whole body parts.

Phenol is the most powerful solution, which is used for deep peeling. It removes deep wrinkles, pre malignant conditions and skin defects due to sun exposure; it also causes brighter skin color. It can be used only in the face area.

It is recommended to use several creams before the peeling to get better results. Retin-A thinners the upper layers of the skin and hydroquinone which bleaches the skin.

The peeling is done by the following techniques: AHA - after the cleaning of the skin the doctor spreads the solution on the skin. It takes 10 minutes, afterwards the doctor gives you instructions how to use this cream for several weeks at home.. During those weeks you'll be invited for check up to follow the progress of peeling.

TCA - usually takes 45 minutes. You may feel a burning sensation which disappears after a few minutes. Second treatments usually done with an interval of a couple of month.

Peeling with phenol lasts 1-2 hours. One treatment usually sufficient. You'll need to cover the face with a bandage or Vaseline cream.

After the treatment with AHA you can immediately return to daily activities, but you must wear sunscreen. TCA causes redness and swelling which disappears during the week, you can return to work after 7-10 days. After the use of phenol skin regeneration usually takes 7-10 days. At first you'll have a very reddish skin that will gradually change to pink color. It is very important to avoid direct sun exposure and use sunscreen to avoid burns and pigmentation.

  • United Kingdom Using Maps

Most basic mapping in the United Kingdom is undertaken by the Ordnance Survey of Great Britain (in England, Scotland & Wales) and the Ordnance Survey of Northern Ireland. The maps found in bookshops may be published directly by those organisations, or by private map publishers drawing on basic Ordnance Survey data.

One consequence of this for the traveller is the widespread use of Ordnance Survey grid references in guide books and other information sources. These are usually presented [xx999999] (eg. [SU921206]) and form a quick way of finding any location on a map. If using a GPS be sure to set it to the British National Grid (BNG).

Alternatively, every postal address has a postcode, either a unique one or one shared with its immediate neighbours. Therefore, a postcode will identify a location to within a few tens of metres; and adding a house number and street will identify a property uniquely (At road junctions two houses with the same number may share the same postcode). Most internet mapping services enable locations to be found by postcode.

  • United Kingdom Understand

The United Kingdom is a constitutional monarchy, with a queen (or king) as the head of state, and a prime minister as the democratically elected head of government. The prime minister ("PM") is not elected as an individual, but is the leader of the largest party in Parliament (or a coalition), which is invited to form a government. Members of Parliament ("MPs") are elected by district from throughout the UK, with the Lords of Parliament (the "upper" house of the UK legislature) either inheriting or appointed to these seats. In response to movements in Scotland and Wales for national autonomy/home rule, these have recently formed parliaments with some internal law-making and tax-setting powers, while still sending MPs to the UK parliament in Westminster, London, which remains responsible for all other matters, including international ones. England and Northern Ireland have no national governments of their own, and are directly governed by Westminster (although recent years have seen growing concern in this factor).

  • In the first study to use imaging technology to see what goes on in the brain when we scratch, researchers at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center have uncovered new clues about why scratching may be so relieving - and why it can be hard to stop. The work is reported online in the Journal of Investigative Dermatology and will appear in a future print issue."Our study shows for the first time how scratching may relieve itch," said lead author Gil Yosipovitch, M.D.
