Every operation has its ricks. The implant may move from the original place. Then you need to undergo additional procedure to replace it. Infection is rare, it can be treated with antibiotics and in some cases the infected implant will be removed and replaced by another one.
After the surgery there is a strange felling around the chin. It is normal to fell difficulties in talking, smiling and eating. There may be blue marks around the chin and neck. It is advisable not to participate in activities which may harm the chin. The surgeon will guide you regarding dental hygiene and eating.
The final results may take weeks and even month to notice, therefore you must be patient.

- Following review of a resubmission, the Scottish Medicines Consortium (SMC) has accepted levetiracetam (Keppra®) for restricted use within NHS Scotland as monotherapy in the treatment of partial onset seizures with or without secondary generalisation in patients from 16 years of age with newly diagnosed epilepsy.
The drug advice notes that levetiracetam has been shown to be non-inferior to an older first choice anti-epileptic for partial seizures. As it is significantly more expensive than traditional drugs, its use is restricted to patients for whom the range of traditional drugs normally used for first-line treatment are ineffective or unsuitable.
- GlaxoSmithKline is due to launch retapamulin ointment (Altargo ointment) for the short-term treatment of the following superficial skin infections: Impetigo, infected small lacerations, abrasions, or sutured wounds.
The ointment should be applied twice daily for a maximum of 5 days.
